That does take me back... and it's a fun memory as I was 13!!!
Do you feel your age??? Gosh, I surely don't. It is amazing to me that there is still so much of that girl inside this aging form. I wish to be forever young inside-- curious and available to joy and wonder but wise in experience and memory. Happy Valentines Day, Barbara!
What lovely post dear Barbara!! I remember my true firt kiss was in the Cinema (he,he) was my first boyfriend, (aah) I dont remember the movie! he, was nicxe really nice.I was 14th years really! Dont tell my daughter!! huggs and happy Valentines day!! gloria
Hahahhahahaha... The Knight and I discussed this last weekend. He was my second kiss. The first was a "hit and run" by a mutual friend of ours, whose mother watched me some afternoons after school. He was dared, he ran into the room, smacked me somewhere near my mouth and sprinted back to his room. His mother and I both just stood there open-mouthed, staring after him.
Well Barbara...if I were the 'kiss and tell' kindda girl, I would tell you it was when I was six, and it was behind a dirt mound in my parent's backyard, with Brian Talbut who was also six. LOL! I still smile when I think of it. hugs from here...
1. Scott Searle 2. almost 14 3. At the Christmas dance at our Jr. High school. The student council decorating committee couldn't find mistletoe, so they hung little bouquets of oregano all around and the gym smelled like a pizza parlor. I did not want to kiss Scott Searle. When he went in for the swoop, I squeaked, "I think I'm getting a cold," but to no avail. My father, who was a chaperone at the dance, said drily to me on the car ride home, "Dear, who was that boy with his tongue down your throat?" I. wanted. to. die.
I was only about 7 years old and there was a boy that like me that lived across the street from. We went up to his house, knocked on the door and when his mother came and opened the door, smack! I'm sure his mother must have scolded him because it didn't happen again :)
My first boyfriend was 25 years older than me. I was four and madly in love with the boy (man?) next door. He was a captain in the army and had a great uniform and I followed him everywhere when he was home on leave. Even though he said he'd wait for me, he married another woman. It broke my heart!! I don't recall him ever kissing me but I sure gave him hugs and kisses every chance I got. And I didn't like his wife!!
OMG what a great question and such great responses! Mine was with my first boyfriend in the seventh grade at my parents house - so awkward!!! I am hoping to have much better ones this Valentine's Day! Hope all is well with you & thanks for such a great post:)
You are so clever Barbara. Yes but it took me a bit to remember. He was my older brother's good friend. He was a senior and I was a freshman. I thought he was magical and he turned out to be a creeper. But, the first kiss was a good one! Now, am I not a lady because I told? How about you my dear?
I do remember my first kiss and it was given to me by my boyfriend in the 3rd grade. I was nine years old and it happened behind the dumpster...haha. Soooo romantic :)
Happy Valentine's Day to you! My first kiss was my first boyfriend who I dated in 8th grade and we kissed on my best friend's porch swing (because she made us). Neither of us wanted to. LOL!
Happy Valentine's Day, Barbara! My first kiss was AWFUL - but in a hilariously tragic kind of way. It definitely makes for a good story now but at the time - definitely embarrassing!
my first first-kiss, i was 5 (and she, Lisa, was 6) and we were in a sleeping bag that was sort of hung between two dining room chairs and went under the table, pretending we were mice down a mouse hole ... and we did some pretty awkward things with a block of sharp cheddar cheese and several clothes pins and lots of first kisses that she must have seen from her big sis. someone call CPS, good gawd.
real first kiss: sweet, lovely with my childhood enemy of many years who would become my first girlfriend. we would date thru high school. we were both 15 yrs old. my parents were in europe, i had a party, and she and i were sitting on the edge of my parent's bed as the party raged downstairs.
sort of like a hollywood script: boy hates girl for years. girl hates boy for years. boy throws party and girl kisses boy and he kisses back.
Very Cute: I was at summer camp. I was 12. I do not remember his name, but he was the Camp Director's son. We were walking in the woods after the rain. It was awkward. It was unexpected - a shock, really. One kiss. But, never to be forgotten. :) Valerie
Soo cute, Barbara! I remember my first kiss but I'm embarrassed to give the age. I was way too young :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fabulous V-Day!!
