Than you for shari...What a beautiful read, Barbara!
Than you for sharing your thoughts with me today. It is really all about the family, isn't it? I savour this week, too. Our holiday starts with our dinner on Christmas eve and for me continues through the week as I reconnect with friends and family and relax and just take the time to enjoy the relationships of those we love. But, I am on holidays throughout the week, so I can do that. I love that.
And, you give books, too! That is a tradition I have kept with my family since the children were born. I love to see them reading in the afternoons - still, now that they are grown. My family is much smaller than yours. Two daughters. My parents, both 80, are close by. My one sister is here, too... one of my daughters is an OT in Palo Alto, and I am so thankful that she would think of no where else to be (for now) and flies home every year. That will soon change, too, as I am catching a whiff of a marriage on the horizon. But, the season will always be one of love and time and preparations. (I am like you. I love the preparations and anticipation! - like, years ago - getting ready for a hot date... that was so much fun, too!)
Happy New Year to you and your family!
I cannot wait to see how you bring it in!
:)
ValerieA Canadian Foodiehttp://www.acanadianfoodie.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-672100529698740014.post-48620717329930069482010-12-29T13:16:23.555-05:002010-12-29T13:16:23.555-05:00It is bittersweet when things change.
